In South Kensington, at the heart of a design district lined with galleries, boutiques and architecture studios, Baxter has opened its main flagship, Baxter Gallery London.

The showroom occupies the historic Empire House, which retains the neoclassical elegance associated with Edwardian architecture. A light facade, refined proportions and tall arched windows define a space where Italian modernity meets English tradition. Inside, restraint balances theatricality: walls that seem to retain the warmth of old London provide a backdrop for Baxter furniture, with every detail made by hand by Baxter artisans.
The gallery covers approximately 370 square metres, yet the considered architecture and lighting design make the space appear larger. The ground floor functions as an art space, with furniture arranged as exhibition pieces rather than conventional showroom displays, using open space, visual rhythm and contrasts in scale. An armchair may stand beside a wall-mounted art object, while a substantial sofa may sit alongside a delicate glass vase.
The basement level carries the symbolic name “The Apartment”. The setting becomes a complete residential environment, with a living room, dining room and bedroom showing Baxter furniture in context. Each zone forms a chapter in a story about tactile beauty, supple leather and noble materials. The setting presents life in the Baxter aesthetic: unhurried, sensual and assured.
The entrance area deserves particular attention, with a glass tunnel welcoming visitors. The tunnel connects the street with the gallery while creating an immersive transition from busy London into the intimate, artistic world of Italian design.
The exhibition combines iconic models from the brand archives with new pieces from the 2025 collection. Visitors can see Chester Moon sofas, Nepal armchairs and recent work by contemporary designers collaborating with the brand, including Roberto Lazzeroni, Paola Navone, Studiopepe and others. Every piece reflects the Baxter philosophy of furniture as art, created through leather, light and emotion.
