The design of the Maxim table sculpture comes from the direct relationship between its three-petal form and the material used to create it. The round designer table reveals the time and craftsmanship involved in shaping the material by hand. The production process uses hand craftsmanship and cold-forming techniques that do not require energy resources. Industrial processes support the handmade stages of pouring liquid cement and finishing. The modern table base is finished with clay in earthy, natural shades. Maxim is available in two versions: a round table with a transparent glass top that displays the sculptural base in full, and the Maxim Argile model, which is formed entirely from clay for a more organic appearance. The durable finish also makes the Maxim table suitable for outdoor design settings. Designers Pio and Tito Toso explain, “When the material is sufficient in itself, without additions or extensions, the result is a pure and direct object that is already a finished product.”
The Camilla chair features a natural ash frame (frN), ash stained Canaletto walnut (frNC), ash stained burned oak (frRB), or ash stained matte black with open pores (fr73). The seat and backrest are upholstered in fabric, micro nubuck, synthetic leather, or soft leather according to the sample card. The cover is not removable.
