The Sheffield modular sofa by Italian factory Longhi supports a variety of interior compositions.
The Sheffield sofa features back cushions with adjustable height. A 90° rotation mechanism without locking lets each cushion rest in the required position. The back cushion mechanism is covered with medium-soft polyurethane foam and a soft sterilised goose-down cover. Bayonet connections detach the back cushions from the base, and the upholstery can be removed.
The wooden perimeter frame is covered with high-density polyurethane foam. Leather or fabric upholstery features elegant striped quilting.
The seat consists of a wooden base with non-deformable elastic webbing and a mattress made from polyurethane foam in different densities.
The rigid base provides stability and helps prevent compression. The centre of the seat contains a Breeze insert made from open-cell polyurethane foam with high resistance to wear and deformation. The Breeze material disperses moisture and provides a comfortable seating experience.
A Memory Foam plate covered with a resin-impregnated double-fabric cover helps the seat recover its original shape.
The base upholstery is non-removable. The laser-cut metal legs feature an exclusive pattern and coordinate with the decorative metal ring on the base. Available finishes include:
