The new range consists of upholstered modules that can be configured in countless ways, including individual seats such as poufs, classic two-seater sofas and 360-degree seating islands that become the centre of the living room,” says Vincent Van Duysen.
The Marteen sofa supports versatile compositions, including classic corner arrangements and contemporary seating islands. The system combines different elements, including seats and storage drawers.
Marteen has the character of a future classic and a distinctive contemporary identity. Freely positionable back cushions provide extra comfort and support different reclining positions. A blade-shaped foot in tin colour suspends the system above the floor and adds visual lightness to each composition.
The armrest element defines the design and gives the structure a measured rhythm. The armrest also serves as a support surface and a storage container with concealed compartments. The upper section is available in eucalyptus wood or new thermo-treated oak, while the lower section features a matt copper lacquer finish.
The modular system includes an end module upholstered in fabric or leather. The end module can feature a backrest, low armrests or high armrests, with wooden or lacquered storage drawers.
