Octave, designed by Vincent Van Duysen, is a system of modular sofas with a strict, structured form.
Vincent Van Duysen drew inspiration for his new project from the expansive windows of skyscrapers, which offer captivating views over cosmopolitan cities while people relax on comfortable sofas and armchairs.
Blade-like pressed-steel legs support the base. Low rectangular backrests rest on the base and feature fabric or leather upholstery with the same thickness as the comfortable seat cushions.
Octave includes open elements for creating chaise lounges or poufs. The elements can be placed along the composition or used as freestanding pieces, including in the centre of a room.
The design features geometric lines and a combination of modular elements. The elements form linear or angular compositions, with suspended trapezoidal or rectangular pieces available for unusual and highly appealing configurations.
