The Maxim table is a sculptural design shaped by the connection between its three-petal form and its material. Like a sculpture formed by a master’s hands, the round designer table reveals the effort and time invested in its creation. Maxim meets the requirements of more environmentally conscious design. Hand finishing and cold forming do not require energy resources. Industrial processes support the craft-based stages of pouring liquid cement and applying the finish by hand. The base of this modern table can be ordered in a clay finish or in the high-quality Oxy finish, a fine lacquer coating with a hand-brushed effect created by skilled artisans. Maxim is available in two versions: a round table with a transparent glass top that presents the sculptural base as a whole, and the fully clay-finished Maxim Argile, which gives the design a more organic appearance. “When one material is enough, without additions or extra elements, the result is a pure, even object that becomes a finished product,” say designers Pio and Tito Toso.
Technical information
The table has a cement base with a clay-effect finish in Cairo (AR05), Oslo (AR09) or Marrakech (AR11). The MDF top has a cement-effect finish in Cairo (AR05), Oslo (AR09) or Marrakech (AR11). Small pores and colour variations in the base finish are characteristic of material produced through casting and cannot be considered defects.
