Cattelan Italia Senator Table

Senator CrystalArt is a large glass table with impressive dimensions and the presence of an art sculpture. An irregular four-metre glass top features bevelled corners. The modern glass table appears to ignore geometric rules while maintaining perfect balance and harmony. Every detail, including the shape and decoration of the tabletop and the asymmetric metal bases, creates the impression of a natural object, precious stone or human-made monolith designed around its function. The tabletop features a refined and original finish created with decorative glass printing that recalls marble veining. An elegant bevel around the entire perimeter highlights the printed pattern. Rich nuances and reflections make this four-metre designer table suitable for a spacious dining room, luxury office or formal interior. Paolo Cattelan later developed Senator Keramik with a marble-effect ceramic top, along with Senator Round and Senator Ker-Wood Round, which feature round tabletops. Senator Ker-Wood Round combines a precious wood tabletop with an appealing ceramic insert. Senator Wood features a rectangular wooden tabletop made from irregular wood boards arranged in a balanced pattern of interlocking sections and separated by contrasting gaps. Senator Keramik Magnum extends the artistic glass CrystalArt and rectangular wood options with a ceramic table measuring four or six metres in length. The large tabletop consists of a precisely arranged puzzle of ceramic slabs. Each slab is placed beside the next after careful attention to the pattern, strengthening the decorative effect. A repeated and extended base module supports the six-metre ceramic table and creates a striking interplay of light and shadow.

Technical Information

Cattelan Italia Senator has a base made from embossed painted steel in titanium (GFM11) or bronze (GFM18). The tabletop consists of 12 mm glass with a bevel and CrystalArt Marble decorative artistic print in Cotopaxi (CYM6) or Orobic (CYM7).
