The Cross lounge chair, designed by Alain Gilles, combines distinct elements reinterpreted in a contemporary style. The fully open metal frame references the classic cross-shaped structure traditionally used to support a seat. The frame becomes a strong graphic accent and an essential part of the chair's overall aesthetic.
The upholstered seat and backrest feature deliberately large, exaggerated proportions for maximum comfort. The armrest receives particular attention in the design. A single curved metal tube wraps around the front of the chair and ends just before the backrest, reinforcing the lightness and dynamic character of the form.
