Angelo Tomaiuolo

Angelo Tomaiuolo is an Italian architect and designer, born in 1973. Angelo Tomaiuolo graduated with honours from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Florence in 2001. Angelo Tomaiuolo won second prize in the International Design Competition for the Planetarium and Science Museum in Cosenza in 2001. Angelo Tomaiuolo began working with Primadesign in 2001, contributing to luxury residential projects and Salvatore Ferragamo retail stores worldwide. 

Angelo Tomaiuolo began a professional career with Matteo Thun & Partners in Milan in 2004. Angelo Tomaiuolo joined Massimiliano Fuksas in 2006, focusing on hotel and resort projects. Notable projects from this period include the Mövenpick Hotel at Stuttgart Airport, the NH Hotel in Milan and the stage design for the 63rd Venice Film Festival.

Angelo Tomaiuolo continued working at the Massimiliano Fuksas studio in 2006. Angelo Tomaiuolo led the project for the Armani Ginza Tower flagship store in Tokyo. Angelo Tomaiuolo won first prize in the international competition for the terminal of Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport in China. Angelo Tomaiuolo also participated in major international competitions, including the Gazprom City competition in St Petersburg.

Angelo Tomaiuolo founded the Spazioameno architecture studio in 2007. Spazioameno focuses on researching and developing new languages for contemporary architecture, interiors and design, with an emphasis on environmental sustainability and technological innovation. 

Angelo Tomaiuolo's Dancing Water pavilion project received a bronze medal at the Design Olympics in Seoul in 2008. Angelo Tomaiuolo was also recognised through the Young Blood 08 initiative, an annual review of Italian talent supported by the national government.
