Carlo Colombo

Carlo Colombo was born in 1967 in Carimate, Como, and graduated from the architecture faculty of Politecnico di Milano under the guidance of Achille Castiglioni. Carlo Colombo began a design career during university, when the Kyoto bed was presented at the Milan Furniture Fair in 1992.
Carlo Colombo works across industrial design, architecture and interior design. Carlo Colombo has collaborated with leading brands, including Cappellini, Giorgetti, Flexform, Flou, Gallotti&Radice, Antonio Lupi, Poliform and Rossana. Carlo Colombo’s projects include modular furniture, sofas, kitchens, sinks and bathroom products. Carlo Colombo’s work balances form and function with precision.
Carlo Colombo founded the international A++ studio in 2013, with offices in Zurich, Lugano, Miami and Tehran. Carlo Colombo actively promotes the values of Italian design and sustainable development. Carlo Colombo has taught at Beijing’s De Tao Academy since 2011. Carlo Colombo has received numerous prestigious awards, including Red Dot, IF Design Award and the title of “Designer of the Year” in 2014.
