Mario Ferrarini

Mario Ferrarini was born in Como in 1978 and graduated from Milan Polytechnic with a degree in industrial design. Mario Ferrarini opened a design studio in 2007, first in Como and later in Lugano, beginning collaborations with international brands in product design, furniture and installations. The designer's style is functional, rigorous and sculptural, with a focus on elegance and form. Architectural rationalism from Como influenced Mario Ferrarini's aesthetic language.
The bathroom occupies a central place in Mario Ferrarini's practice. Mario Ferrarini created iconic products with Antonio Lupi, including the Mastello, Edonia and Dune bathtubs, the Velo, Simplo and Ago85 washbasins, the Skema and Babele fireplaces, and the Tabula modular system. Mario Ferrarini developed the Myway and Muse whirlpool baths and the Frame shower enclosures with Jacuzzi.
Mario Ferrarini also collaborated with Bitossi Ceramiche on the Litigati vases and Ombre collection, with Nube Italia on the Sophie sofa and Cyrcus tables, with Ethimo on the Le Gerle backpack chairs, with Potocco on the Velis series and Pipe tables, with Poltrona Frau on the Giselle bed, and with Living Divani on the Galileo mirror and Step table.
Mario Ferrarini has received several awards, including the 2020 Archiproducts Design Award for the Keel armchair, created together with Victor Vasilev.
