Mauro Lipparini is an Italian architect, industrial designer and art director, born in 1956 in Grosseto, near Florence. Mauro Lipparini began a career in design at the age of 14 by enrolling at an art school. Mauro Lipparini graduated from the University of Florence Faculty of Architecture in 1980 and later became a lecturer there .​

Mauro Lipparini is known as the founder of the natural minimalism style, which combines concise forms with warmth and comfort. Mauro Lipparini bases a design philosophy on the pursuit of calm and comfort. The philosophy appears in works defined by expressive character and functionality.

Mauro Lipparini has worked with many European and Japanese companies in industrial design, creating furniture, textiles and other products. Mauro Lipparini has also completed architectural projects, including residential complexes, offices and showrooms in countries such as Japan, Italy and China.​

Mauro Lipparini has worked actively with Visionnaire since 2015, creating furniture collections with a strong character and harmonious interaction between individual pieces. Notable works by Mauro Lipparini include the Citizen sofa, Basil console and Cheyney relax armchair.
