Oriano Favaretto

Oriano Favaretto is an Italian designer born in 1956 in Silea, in the province of Treviso. Oriano Favaretto graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, where Emilio Vedova, a renowned artist, was his tutor. During his studies, Oriano Favaretto also worked with the artist Ennio Chiggio, first as a student and later as a colleague. ​

Oriano Favaretto is known for his passion for Murano glass, which led to a collaboration with the legendary Fucina degli Angeli workshop. His career includes several prestigious awards:​

1981, winner of a competition between Italian academies and recipient of a scholarship from the Bevilacqua La Masa foundation;

1987 and 1992, Murano Prize, awarded by the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and A.B.A.;

1993, Golden Lamp Award, S.I.I., Paris;

1997, Prix d’Excellence winner for the Polipò lamp, Marie Claire, Paris. ​

Oriano Favaretto worked with brands including Bonaldo, Vistosi, Masiero and De Majo, creating distinctive lighting collections such as Bon Ton, Bio-s and Crossroad. His work combines functionality with artistic expression and reflects a commitment to balance between form and content.​
