Paola Navone

Paola Navone is a recognised Italian designer known worldwide for her bold style and collaborations with leading brands, including Serax, Martinelli Luce, Slide, Gervasoni, FontanaArte, Baxter, Lando and others. Navone’s work combines boldness, simplicity and a refined sense of style. The designer appears to ignore established conventions and trends, creating a distinct aesthetic reality. Navone’s design language resists classification and reflects a personal, independent view of beauty. In 2000, the magazine Architektur und Wohnen named Navone Designer of the Year. Navone’s objects feel natural and free from unnecessary artifice.
“I am uncomfortable with an approach in which an object is created as a museum exhibit. Attempts by designers to assert themselves through an object feel no closer to me. I consider that approach the opposite of genuine creativity. If you create an object to express yourself, the result is predictable and easy to recognise. My work makes me much harder to find,” Navone says.
Navone’s notable works include the Fish & Fish glassware collection, inspired by vintage bottles; the iconic Low Lita armchair for outdoor spaces; and the Bibendum pendant light, created in collaboration with Martinelli Luce.
Navone is known for bringing lightness and playfulness into interiors. Navone’s furniture, lighting and tableware combine beauty with comfort. Navone’s projects, from decorative trays to outdoor furniture, remain recognisable through her distinctive design signature.
Navone’s work appeals to people who value unconventional yet functional solutions that combine creativity and comfort in a contemporary home.
