Steven Haulenbeek works through materials and experiments

Since 2010, Steven Haulenbeek has run Steven Haulenbeek Design Inc. The independent practice creates objects through material experiments, including Ice-Cast Bronze, which casts wax forms directly into Chicago winter ice. The Resin-Bonded Sand series turns sand, usually treated as waste, into a material for organic furniture and lighting.
