Vincenzo De Cotiis

Vincenzo De Cotiis is an Italian architect and designer known for work at the intersection of art, architecture and furniture design. Vincenzo De Cotiis creates an expressive aesthetic that combines elements of Brutalism, Art Deco and vintage lustre. Vincenzo De Cotiis works with refined materials such as glass, brass, marble, recycled metals and natural leather, often highlighting imperfections and traces of time as part of the artistic concept.

Vincenzo De Cotiis studied at the Polytechnic University of Milan, where he later began teaching. Vincenzo De Cotiis opened Vincenzo De Cotiis Architects in 1997, a studio working across interiors, architecture and furniture design. Vincenzo De Cotiis became known for a distinctive style through boutique, hotel and private residence interiors, combining raw surfaces, minimalism, craft precision and close attention to texture.

Progetto Domestico became one of Vincenzo De Cotiis's key furniture collections, presented at exhibitions in Miami, Paris and Milan. The collection explores the boundary between art and function through objects that can be described as sculptures. Vincenzo De Cotiis often produces furniture by hand in limited series, making the work sought after by collectors.

Vincenzo De Cotiis works actively with galleries and art platforms worldwide, including Carpenters Workshop Gallery, as well as brands such as Baxter and Rossana Orlandi. Vincenzo De Cotiis furniture presents considered statements about matter, time and form rather than serving only as utilitarian objects.
