Himba Sofa

The Himba sofa is made from solid ash with leather upholstery. The frame uses sandblasted solid black ash with a matt finish. The seat, backrest and decorative cushions use polyurethane foam with different densities and acrylic-fibre covers. Elastic straps with rubber coating provide resilient seating.
Playful design and thoughtful form define the idea of comfort that Baxter brings to every product. The Himba collection has a creative, free-spirited character. Accessories made from iroko with an exterior-resistant oil finish complement gardens, patios and poolside areas. Indoor spaces use sandblasted black ash with a distinctive grain and rich texture.
Roberto Lazzaroni, the collection's designer, says: «I created pieces for Baxter with an organic, sculptural aesthetic. The pieces become witnesses to leisure, develop character and seem to merge with nature, becoming recognisable forms.» Polished armrests, durable legs, and leather and fabric surfaces absorb light and shadow over time, creating the image of «guardians of space». The collection opens new perspectives on light and space in interiors, bringing indoor and outdoor areas together.
