Scarlet Natural Pois is a fully hand-knotted rug made from one of the most expensive wools in the world, dyed using the traditional pot-dyeing technique. Creating the pattern requires advanced skill, and weavers use a talim, a coded guide in which each note corresponds to one knot and prevents misinterpretation at the loom.
The finishing process is highly complex. Each rug is cut for the first time and hand-washed before being treated to create a unique product. A master artisan manually wears selected areas of the rug to achieve the required texture. The rug edges follow an antique style with a vintage effect.
Regular vacuuming is recommended to remove dust and residue. Some fibre shedding may occur during the initial period, which is normal for wool and/or silk rugs. Rotating the rug helps prevent uneven wear.
To remove stains, gently blot the affected area with paper towels. Use a cloth or sponge dampened with warm water, without rubbing.
