The Pigalle artistic glass floor lamp combines multiple elements with varied decoration, made by master glassmakers using historic Venetian techniques. The end elements of the designer floor lamp feature the traditional Balloton technique. A metal mould gives the glass a distinctive three-dimensional pattern of intersecting diamonds. Sharp points inside the mould shape the molten glass during blowing and create the faceted effect associated with Balloton glasswork. Etching gives the central elements three different pearlescent shades. Coloured glass creates a striking optical effect. Light reflected through the spaces between the uniform inclusions and the frosted glass produces a soft, diffused glow. The carefully considered shapes and sizes of the shades create a refined, harmonious furnishing piece for the living room. The glass floor lamp pairs well with generously proportioned upholstered furniture.
