Cattelan Italia Wanted Floor Lamp

The Wanted coloured glass floor lamp uses the historic Balloton technique, associated with the craft traditions of Murano glassmakers. The floor lamp is available in two heights and several colours, allowing different levels of colour intensity in an interior. The tall version creates intense colour with green or amber tones. The low floor lamp uses white frosted glass with iridescent reflections resembling an icy surface and emits soft light from below. The Wanted floor lamp pairs well with sofas, armchairs and low lounge chairs. The lamp suits adaptable, functional interiors where lighting design changes for different moments of the day. Balloton lamp elements feature a three-dimensional pattern of intersecting diamonds formed with a metal mould. Sharp points inside the mould shape the molten glass during blowing and create the faceted effect associated with the Balloton technique. Coloured glass tones intensify the optical effect. Light reflected between the uniform inclusions produces a soft, diffused glow. The low and tall floor lamp versions contain several overlapping shades. A transparent ring surrounds the edge of each shade and appears to compress a flexible, changing material rather than solid glass. Hand-finished glasswork gives the material a light appearance and adds character to a naturally cold, rigid surface.

Technical Information

The Wanted floor lamp combines a steel frame with an embossed black finish (GFM73), Balloton artistic glass shades in Verde Pavone, Ambra or Madreperla, and LED lighting with brightness control through a foot switch. The floor lamp is available in low and tall versions, with colour options linked to the selected glass finish.
