Infinito Table by Poltrona Frau

The Infinito^∞ table is closer to a work of art than a design object. The table was released in a limited quantity, numbered and signed.

The offset double-oval form partly recalls the complementary shapes of yin and yang and partly resembles an inverted eight, a symbol of infinite perfection and prosperity. The symbol gives the table its name. Each leg is carved from a solid block of white Carrara marble, shaped by a specially sized robotic arm and finished by hand. The resulting form is remarkably light. The branching tree-like structure expresses lightness and dynamism while highlighting the table's elegance and powerful sculptural presence.

The Infinito^∞ table is available in two versions. The limited edition includes 8 pieces in a large double-oval form measuring 340 x 120 cm, supported by two legs. A further 64 pieces feature an oval top measuring 220 x 124 cm, supported by a single base. The enlarged Infinito^∞ table features a thin stainless steel blade set diagonally into the marble. The blade connects the two oval surfaces.

The exceptional material makes the series impossible to reproduce.

A brass plate with a ruthenium finish sits beneath the tabletop at the centre of the table. The plate carries the Poltrona Frau logo, the designer's signature and the serial number of each piece. Serial numbers run from 1 to 8 for the enlarged version and from 1 to 64 for the smaller version.
