Martha Armchair by Poltrona Frau

The design of the Martha armchair combines two main frame elements made from moulded rigid polyurethane. The seat and armrests form one sinuous, open profile that projects outward. The curved backrest has soft padding and appears to float, while a concealed mechanism secures the backrest to the frame. The complete armchair rests on a wooden easel-style structure with a triangular cross-section. A slight seat inclination towards the backrest provides maximum comfort and reinforces the armchair’s dynamic design. The four-leg base is made from solid ash, available in «wengé» and «mocca» finishes.

Colour effects and material combinations accentuate the fluid, lightweight character of the Martha armchair. The outer frame is upholstered in rich Saddle Extra Leather, while the inner frame is available in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric. Elegant contrasting hand stitching defines the combination of two materials. The soft seat cushion has a removable cover in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric. The Martha armchair uses 100% FSC™-certified wood.
