The Molteni&C D.156.3 armchair reflects the essence of Italian modernism. Gio Ponti created the design in 1956 for Altamira, an American company founded by De Cuevas's nephew. The armchair was presented in New York alongside work by Ico Parisi and Franco Albini, showing a lively dialogue between Italian craftsmanship and international modernism at the 10th Milan Triennale.
