The D.154.2 armchair by Gio Ponti conveys the architect’s light-filled spirit and masterful approach to form through an enveloping, sinuous silhouette. The iconic armchair originated in a deeply personal project, Planchart Villa in Caracas (1953–1957), the private residence of art collectors Anala and Armando Planchart. Anala and Armando Planchart commissioned Gio Ponti to design the residence in full, serving as both architect and interior designer.
