Bonbori Lighting Collection

The Bonbori collection, created by renowned Japanese designer Fumie Shibata, includes versions for interiors and outdoor spaces. Traditional paper lanterns inspired the collection. Lanterns of this type light pathways to temples and shrines during Japan’s annual harvest festivals. The Japanese word «bonbori» describes both this traditional form of lighting and the soft light emitted by a snow cave.

The Bonbori lamp features a simple structure made from stainless steel with an environmentally friendly powder coating. A removable LED module creates soft, diffused illumination through a diffuser and laser-cut openings in the metal base.

The elegant hand-blown glass shade references the traditional Japanese lamp. The shade consists of several layers of carefully shaped glass. The shade is available in opal and opaline glass. The metal base is available in matte black, copper or grey metallic finishes.

Bonbori lighting creates a calm, ceremonial atmosphere. Expertly crafted glass and a subtle glow provide comfortable illumination for solitary moments and gatherings with family and friends.

The interior version features special connectors developed by Brokis. The connectors allow the lamp to move easily to a covered terrace or another protected outdoor space.
