Brokis
Brand philosophy
Brokis is a Czech designer lighting brand with a distinct position in the lighting market. The company combines Bohemian glassmaking traditions with contemporary production technology.
Brokis was founded by entrepreneur Jan Rabel, who also owns the renowned glass factory Janštejn Glassworks. The connection allows Brokis to combine design concepts with centuries-old craft traditions.
Brokis builds its brand philosophy on three principles:
- respect for glassmaking craftsmanship
- innovative design
- environmentally responsible production
Brokis creates every light by hand with craftspeople who work with blown glass. Handcrafted production gives every model an individual character.
Collaborations with renowned designers
Brokis works actively with international designers, many of whom have shaped the brand's visual language.
Designer Lucie Koldova is one of Brokis's key creative contributors and serves as the company's art director. Lucie Koldova's work has become characteristic of the brand and has received numerous international awards.
Brokis has also collaborated with:
- Dan Yeffet
- Boris Klimek
- Fumie Shibata
- Vrtiška & Žák
These designers create collections that combine poetic forms, glass and contemporary lighting technology.

Balloon has received international recognition and has become one of the most recognisable collections in the Brokis portfolio.
