Lloyd Cabinets and Bookcases

Lloyd cabinets and bookcases use horizontal elements made from high-pressure laminate (HPL), a material that provides stability and strength even in very thin layers. Natural oak veneer covers the horizontal elements in a matt lead finish. Leather-clad vertical uprights stand at equal distances to give the furniture a regular rhythm and emphasise the open character of the sliding grids. Each individual grid represents meticulous cabinetmaking. Solid oak grids move along rails cut into the shelves and include plastic guides that reduce friction. Strong oak rods are cut to different thicknesses and then glued together by hand, one piece at a time. Fixed solid oak grids close the sides of the structure. Lloyd cabinets and bookcases are available in two versions: wall-mounted and freestanding. The freestanding version has sliding grids on both sides, front and back. The wall-mounted version has sliding grids at the front only. A matt black lacquered MDF panel closes the rear section against the wall, and the inside of the panel can be covered in saddle leather. Lloyd bookcases and shelving units have steel feet. The outer front feet feature a gunmetal finish. The central feet, positioned further back, have a matt black lacquer finish.
