Peek-a-Book Desk by Poltrona Frau
The large Peek-a-Book desk consists of a simple poplar plywood sheet covered in Pelle Frau® leather. The sheet is curved and folded in half to form the base, desktop and two drawers. The base consists of a triangular-section solid ash trestle in mocha or wenge, forming three trapezoidal supports connected by thin wooden joints. The fronts of the two drawers are made from MDF covered in Pelle Frau® leather to match the desktop upholstery. The drawer interiors are made from solid ash in a wenge finish.
The desktop upholstery uses a special technique that leaves no visible seams.
Behind the two central drawers, the Peek-a-Book desk has two side drop-down panels that conceal an empty space. The compartments are designed for cable routing and can hold several sockets or electrical cables with Schuko or USB connectors.
An induction charger for smartphones can also be installed beneath the leather desktop upholstery. The branded logo marks the charger position.
