Giorgio Bonaguro designed the Cusco sofa for Carpanese Home. The Cusco sofa forms a modular system inspired by the cyclopean walls of ancient Latin American cities. Voluminous, geometric and complementary forms connect like brickwork to create varied seats, joints and backrests. The evolving configuration suits any space. The front view appears comfortable and welcoming, while the side view creates an unexpected impression. A seemingly simple system brings together concept, aesthetics, production technology and quality to create a project that received the Archiproducts Design Award in 2022. Carpanese Home Cusco sofa technical information
The Cusco sofa is available as a two-, three- or four-seat configuration. The structure uses EPA-certified plywood, fir and fibreboard. The upholstery contains layers of open-cell polyurethane foam and Dacron, while elastic webbing forms the sprung base. Leather or fabric upholstery completes the sofa.
