Carpanese Home Tachi L Writing Desk

Designed by Giorgio Bonaguro for Carpanese Home, the Tachi L writing desk features organic forms and carefully balanced proportions, shaped by the meeting of memory and contemporary expression. The design reinterprets selected Italian design archetypes from the late 1970s. The name recalls a long, curved Japanese sword, a symbol of dynamism, precision and controlled strength. These qualities define the formal language: continuous tension across the curved desktop, a sense of impulse and balance, and a measured relationship between mass and lightness. The reference also appears in the metal shelf beneath the desktop, a solid, luminous element that passes through the structure like a suspended blade. The Tachi collection includes two writing desks and a console, each combining classical references with radical modernity. The collection interprets the writing desk and console as domestic and professional landscapes, creating places for concentration, movement and interaction with space and architecture.
